About Kari
A Phoenix Native and resident of Waddell Arizona, Kari Chord shares her talents with local musicians and churches, while continuing to inspire children and adults alike through music education.  Kari has dedicated her life to inspiring others to love music.  Creating her own music and teaching others to perform and write music of their own, Kari began playing piano as a child.  As an adult, Kari became the most sought after instructor in the greater west valley, however teaching was never quite enough.  I Think I Need the Angels  is a bittersweet completion of a life-long dream, an album of her own.

I Think I Need the Angels
Kari's first album I Think I Need the Angels evolved over the course of several years. Progress on the album often slowed as Kari supported her late husband Casey Chord through a life threatening illness.
Nonetheless, Kari continued writing; the song "Angels" was written only moments after discovering Casey would have to undergo a second transplant.
In their many recordings, Casey left behind just enough of what Kari affectionately refers to as, "breadcrumbs to follow",  and, in 2015, Kari began working on the album again.  Blending original tracks with new, together with support of her husband, Tony Gibbs, and other musicians throughout Phoenix, "I Think I Need the Angels" is now complete.
